Day trip to The Middle Atlas From Fez

Next, we take a scenic detour to the beautiful Daiet Aoua Lake, where you can admire the surrounding hills and enjoy a peaceful, photo-worthy stop. As a result, this makes for one of the most tranquil moments of the entire day trip to the Middle Atlas.

Ifrane – The Switzerland of Morocco

Afterward, we continue toward Ifrane, a charming town famously nicknamed the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its alpine-style houses, cooler climate, and occasional snowfall in winter. While strolling through town, you’ll notice a distinctly European atmosphere that feels worlds away from typical Moroccan cities.

Azrou and the Cedar Forest

Then, we drive to Azrou, home to the famous cedar forest where the playful Barbary macaques live in their natural habitat. Furthermore, you’ll have the opportunity to wander through the forest trails and, if you’d like, feed the monkeys up close, an experience adored by travelers of all ages.
