6-Day Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech — Ait Benhaddou — Dades Valley

Our grand morning starts with us leaving the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. To catch clouds, we first head up the narrow winding roads through the High Atlas. You pass many little Berber villages where people have lived very traditionally. This is the most popular part of our Marrakech tours because any possible views from the top are mind-blowing. We reach the Tizi n’Tichka Pass for a breath of fresh air and gaze at the high peaks.

Then after this, we will continue to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is a small village where many famous films were filmed. Day 3: Merzouga—Desert Trip—Nomad Family Visit

We set off for the deep desert in our 4×4 car after breakfast. We stop in the Black village of Khamlia for spiritual music and dancing. This is a very joyous, noisy celebration.

Day 4: Merzouga—Rissani—Ouarzazate

On this very day, we say goodbye to the big dunes, and we begin journeying towards the “Hollywood of Africa.” We will cross Rissani, where we stop to visit the traditional market, smelling of spices. This is one of the coolest Morocco trips because you see locals trade animals and goods. Next, we have to drive through the Draa Valley with millions of green palm trees. You will enjoy the dry desert contrasting with the green river.

Day 6: Marrakech Sightseeing—Airport Transfer
