Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Kasbah of Telouat – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Your 5-Day Private Morocco Tour from Marrakech starts with an early morning pickup from your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech. Journey through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with panoramic views and scenic photo stops. Then head on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village that has been the star of famous movies and TV series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. At the end of the kasbah tour, we will continue to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you will have dinner and overnight accommodation in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Nkob – Merzouga Desert – Camel Ride – Luxury Camp

After breakfast, visit the Atlas Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Then continue on to Agdz and drive through the beautiful Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves, Berber villages, and ancient kasbahs. After a lunch stop in Nkob or Alnif, continue to Merzouga and the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a memorable camel trek through the Sahara Desert and stop on a high sand dune to admire the magical sunset. You will arrive at your luxury desert camp for a traditional dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 3: Excursion to Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia – Flamingo Lake – Palm Grove

Wake up early for a spectacular sunrise in the Sahara Desert, then return to Merzouga by camel. Spend a full day exploring the interesting desert area, including an old mining area and a visit to a family of nomads living in traditional tents. Enjoy Berber tea & a description of their way of life, and then continue on to Khamlia village, known for its colorful Gnaoua music and cultural performances. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing walk through the palm groves and visit the seasonal lake of flamingos near Merzouga. Dinner & an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Gorges of Todra – Valley of Dades

You leave the Sahara Desert after breakfast and drive to Rissani, the old capital of Tafilalet and a major traditional market town. Then, continue on to Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and marble craftsmanship, and on through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad towards the spectacular Todra Gorges. Leisure time to stroll through the impressive canyon with its towering red cliffs and beautiful natural scenery. Post-lunch, drive via Boumalne Dades to Dades Valley, stopping at the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and panoramic viewpoints over the valley. Dinner & an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Amridil Kasbah – Marrakech

On the last day of your 5-day private Morocco tour from Marrakech, you will drive through the beautiful Rose Valley to Kalaat M’Gouna. Kalaat M’Gouna is famous for its annual Rose Festival and local products made from the rose. Pass through the palm groves of Skoura and visit the historic Amridil Kasbah, one of Morocco’s best-preserved kasbahs. Lunch in Ouarzazate before crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains on your return to Marrakech. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to your accommodation or to the airport in Marrakesh.
