Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

4-Day Desert Tour From Marrakech With early pickup from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. Then drive through the interesting High Atlas Mountains. And the Tizi-N-Tichka as well. Stops will be made to enjoy the views of the breathtaking landscapes.

Then we continue to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Fortified village, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After that we go to Ouarzazate, “the gate of the desert,” for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Nkob – Rissani – Merzouga Desert – Camel riding – Overnight in a luxury camp

After breakfast we will visit the city of Ouarzazate. First we go to Atlas Studios, where different famous movies were filmed. Then proceed to the Taourirt Kasbah, an old fortified mud castle. Then we go to Agdz. We drive into the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river. We will drive beside it, stopping for panoramic views of the palm tree groves, spectacular Kasbahs, and Berber villages. Free time to lunch in Nkob or Alnif.

After lunch we continue to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga through Rissani. Arrive at the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, and you get transferred to camels to cross the Sahara Desert. You pause at the top of a great dune to watch the magic sunset. Then you will go to the camp, which combines the traditional tents of the nomads and the opulence of a hotel. The music of Berber drums will entertain you in the camp, where you can dance around the campfire under the open sky of shiny stars. Dinner and an overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Gorges of Todra – Boumalne Dades

Wake up early in the morning to think about the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Back on camels to Merzouga, where your driver is waiting. We leave the desert to visit the town of Rissani, the old capital of the Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading center for the region, with a large souk (busiest on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays).

After a stroll in the Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud and visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. Then we go through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to the Todra Gorges. The Todra River course has cut a great canyon through the mountains, making a high, red-cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are perfect for rock climbing. You can walk around in the gorges and enjoy the landscape’s beauty. Lunch time at a restaurant. Then we continue to Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Then the obligatory stop at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And on a ledge above the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Amridil Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakesh

On the last day of your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech, we continue to Kalaa M’Gouna to visit the Rose Valley. Every year in the month of May, there is a Rose Festival. Where the locals sell their rose products such as perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetic products.
